Hummingbirds & Hibiscus - Black Grande Silk Scarf
Hummingbirds flutter among vibrant hibiscus blooms in this striking Caribbean-inspired grande silk scarf, where lush tropical flora and delicate butterflies unfold against a dramatic black backdrop.
Each element of the design was hand-drawn in our Colorado studio, inspired by the vivid color, movement, and natural beauty found throughout the Caribbean islands. Bahama Woodstar hummingbirds (Nesophlox evelynae) hover among oversized hibiscus flowers while flashes of iridescent blue morpho and Great Southern White butterflies (Ascia monuste) bring movement and contrast to the composition. Frangipani blossoms frame the border, adding softness and rhythm to the design.

Inspired by the vibrant tropical flora and fauna of the Caribbean islands, this design features Bahama Woodstar hummingbirds (Nesophlox evelynae), iridescent blue morpho butterflies, Great Southern White butterflies (Ascia monuste), oversized hibiscus blooms, palm leaves, and delicate frangipani flowers framing the border — all originally illustrated and hand-drawn in our Colorado studio.
Each motif was created following extensive research into the region’s natural beauty, color, and movement before being translated onto silk by skilled artisans in Italy.
