OPULENT INSPIRATIONS

HOW ROME'S BAROQUE HERITAGE INSPIRES OUR DESIGNS

As a designer, I am constantly seeking new ideas. One of the best ways to find inspiration is through travel.

After disembarking from a cruise in Rome, my husband and I spent three magical days exploring the city's wonders. This adventure provided the inspiration for PeppaRose's Rome Collection.

Setting out early one morning to avoid the crowds, I was captivated by the Trevi Fountain. This iconic masterpiece of Baroque art stands majestically, with its intricate designs and grand presence creating an unforgettable spectacle.

Designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini, the fountain’s dramatic composition includes towering statues and cascading waters, creating a dynamic visual spectacle.

With every detail, from the elaborate baroque scroll carvings that adorn the top of the columns, to the symphony of water, an aura of majestic Baroque opulence and vitality is created.

THE WHIMSICAL ALLURE OF BUTTERFLIES

Sometimes, contrasting artistic elements in a design creates a wonderful synergy of style. Whimsical butterflies and ladybirds were selected to achieve this goal.

The Papilio machaon, commonly known as the Swallowtail butterfly, is a breathtaking sight in Rome's lush gardens and parks.

Its striking yellow and black wings, accented with touches of blue and red, capture the essence of nature's artistry.

This butterfly's graceful flight and vivid colors have become a source of inspiration for my Rome Collection designs, infusing each piece with an elegance and beauty reminiscent of Rome's enchanting flora and fauna.

This swallowtail butterfly was created in 7 hours and 1 minute.

MY FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD IN ROME IS

TRASTEVERE

Just a short stroll from the bustling heart of Rome lies Trastevere, a charming neighborhood known for its narrow cobblestone streets and vibrant atmosphere.

This area, with its winding alleys and hidden piazzas, offers a more intimate glimpse into Roman life. The streets are lined with ivy-clad buildings and adorned with colorful murals, creating a picturesque setting that contrasts beautifully with the grandeur of Rome’s central landmarks. Trastevere’s charm is further enhanced by its lively squares, where locals and tourists alike gather to enjoy the relaxed ambiance.

Rome is often called "The Eternal City" (La Città Eterna). Like love, it has an eternal spirit that transcends the passage of time.
